Originally from Colorado, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Business with a Jazz Studies emphasis from the University of Northern Colorado under the direction of Kerry Marsh and Julia Dollison. She later completed her Master of Arts in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship at The New School in 2021, where she developed skills in web design and social media strategy. Now based in New York City, Karen is the founder of Designs by KPG (designsbykpg.com), a creative studio that builds websites and manages social media for performing artists, nonprofits, and small businesses. Though once discouraged from pursuing a performance career, she believes it’s never too late to follow your dreams and is now earning her second bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at The City College of New York—a second chance to become the singer she’s always aspired to be.
